Label a
Version
Allow you to given the database item(s) a specific name, or label.
This will enable Visual SourceSafe to associate the same identifier (label) to
multiple database items so that they can be identified all together. This is
extremely useful when you have finished a release and want to mark the entire
project with a label.

To do the Label operation, you can:
- Highlight
the item(s) or folder(s) from the SourceSafe Pane, select File | Label
from the main menu; or
- Highlight
the item(s) or folder(s) from the SourceSafe Pane, select Label Version
from the toolbar.
The Label operation can be applied to an individual database
item, multiple database items, or a folder that is either a database category
or the entire project. When a folder is selected, the label operation is
applied to all database items under the folder.
