There are two ways to show the difference of one item:

Showing the differences of two versions of the database item
in Visual SourceSafe
To show the difference of two versions of a database item in
Visual SourceSafe, you can show the item history by right clicking the item
then select History from the context menu. In the Item History dialog
box, highlight the two versions that you want to compare, then click on Diff
button on the dialog box (See Figure 2). The complete list of the two sets of
the script is listed as shown in Figure 3. The deleted lines are displayed with
pink background, the changed lines are displayed with yellow background and the
added new lines are displayed with green background.
