Database items are the objects from SQL Server database. The database items supported
by SQLSourceSafe are:
The above-mentioned four types of database items are
organized as category nodes in the tree display structure on SQL Server Pane in
SQLSourceSafe. Each database item is accessible through a tree node under its
category.
When double-clicking on a database item in the SQL Server Pane, the object will
be opened in a separate window for view or edit.
When item is checked out (highlighted by red color) or is newly created
(highlighted by blue color), you may edit it. SQLSourceSafe offers an
easy-to-use SQL Code Editor that features full syntax-colored context display
to improve the readability of complex statements. It also features all needed
editing functionality:
If a database item is saved in SourceSafe and you did not
check it out, you can view the object's code, but may not change it.
You may also Add new database item and Delete existing ones.
