Viewing Schema Differences


Viewing Schema differences of two SQL objects can be performed on individual SQL objects level and on Project Difference level.  For viewing schema differences on individual objects level, you can get more information at Comparing Individual Database Item in previous section.  Here we discuss the later cases.

 

On Project Differences Dialog, if a SQL objects that is different to its comparing object in schema, the names of two comparing objects are displayed in yellow back color (As shown in the legend at the bottom of the screen).  To browse the schema differences of the two SQL objects.  You can:

 

  1. Highlight the items you want to compare and right click the highlight bar, then select View Differences at the context menu. Or,
  2. Highlight the items you want to compare and select Action | View Differences from the menu of Project Differences Dialog. Or,
  3. Highlight the item you want to compare and click the View Differences from the button on the tool bar.

When the View Difference window appears, you can click in the Print but on the top of the script window to print the content of the comparing result.
