Saving/Retrieving Comparing Parameters


The connection information of two comparing databases can be saved and be retrieved for later use.  If the connection information is entered for both comparing databases, you can save it to a file by selecting the File | Save As… menu in the application main window as shown in Figure 1.

After you enter the name for the connection configuration, clicking the Save button will save the connection configuration file to the specified path.  The connection configuration file is in XML format.  In connection configuration file, the password string is in encrypted format.  Every time when a new connection configuration file is saved, the path and file name of the saved connection configuration is listed on the Recent File sub menu. To retrieve the previous saved connection, you can select the previous saved connection configuration file by clicking the submenu under Recent File.  The submenu of Recent File can list as many as 6 entries.  If the connection configuration file is not listed in the Recent File submenu.  You can choose the Open menu to open the file.
