The SQLDBCompare
not only can compare data in window based application, but also it can compare
data in command line. There is an executable file SQLDBCompareCmd.exe. By
launching the executable file by itself, it will show syntax how to use the
command line data comparison utility.

Syntax: SQLDBCompareCmd /F:filename /V:status |

generated by SQLCompare Program. |

Verbose
mode. By default the verbose mode is on. status -
on/off. If you want to turn off the verbose mode, you can set /V:off as the command line
parameter. |
When you launch the SQLDBCompareCmd
program at the command line using specified the data comparison configuration
file, you will see the message as shown in Figure 1.

on verbose mode
In verbose
mode, it shows progress on the screen and calculate
how long it takes to complete each step. If you do not want to see these progrss information, you can turn verbose mode off. In
verbose off mode, you will see the screen as Figure 2 shown. In both mode, the total numbers of records comparing data group are
reported. It reports the total Added, Changed and Removed records in two
comparing groups.

Line on non-verbose mode
If you configured to output the comparing results to a file (the file is in HTML format), you can open the file using Internet Explorer browser or other html editor to display the comparing result.
